Core Electronic Databases for Health and Medical Information
MEDLINE® is a bibliographic database produced by the U.S. National Library of Medicine. The database contains millions of citations, derived from thousands of biomedical and life science journals, and indexed with Medical Subject Headings (MeSH®) from the NLM controlled vocabulary. Extending back to 1946, annual input now exceeds 700,000 citations.
PubMed comprises more than 26 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. Citations may include links to full-text content from PubMed Central and publisher web sites.
This provides access to academic journals and other reference content covering all aspects of the nursing profession, from direct patient care to health care administration. It contains over 4 million journal and magazine article citations and many of those are full-text.
Access the world’s leading scholarly literature in the sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities and examine proceedings of international conferences, symposia, seminars, colloquia, workshops, and conventions. Editions subscribed to include: Science Citation Index Expanded (1900-current) and Conference Proceedings Citation Index (1990-current).
