GeoDome Globe displays datasets on a globe
The GeoDome Globe is made by Elumenati, a Colorado company. It was installed in late October 2020.
The Globe was acquired as part of a grant obtained by Frederic Sarazin, professor in the Physics Department.
The Globe measures 6 feet in diameter. It is made out a transparent plastic. Mounted under the Globe are 2 projectors, and these shine images up into the Globe.
The Globe is hooked into the internet and updates many of the datasets multiple times a week.
