Through the Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries, the Colorado School of Mines is now part of a Read & Publish deal with Elsevier's ScienceDirect. To take advantage of the following, the Mines author must be the "Corresponding Author"; the primary author managing the publication process from submission to post-acceptance.
From April 1, 2024 through December 31, 2027, 114 article APCs per year for most hybrid eligible journals will be covered. Any articles beyond the initial 114 and any fully gold OA articles will receive a 10% discount on APCs.
IGI Global, a publisher specializing in Business & Management; Scientific, Technical, & Medical (STM); and Education, has partnered with Colorado School of Mines to encourage open access publishing among researchers and faculty. This partnership enables research to be freely accessible, increasing its potential citations, usage, and indexing. Faculty who publish in IGI Global's nearly 200 open access journals can receive a 5% discount on processing charges. The discount is applied after double-blind peer review and acceptance. Manuscripts can be submitted via IGI Global's eEditorial Discovery manuscript submission system using the IGI Global Portal.
