What is BrowZine?

BrowZine Device CollageAcademic Journals in a Beautiful, Browseable Format

BrowZine is a web interface for desktop as well as an app for mobile devices that helps you flip through the scholarly e-journals available through Arthur Lakes Library. BrowZine has sorted our e-journals into broad subjects and then into narrower disciplines. You can save and organize your most-used e-journals on virtual bookshelves saved to your account. The result is an easy and familiar way to browse through, read, and monitor scholarly e-journals across disciplines.

Does BrowZine support VPN?

iOS & Android:
Yes!  The VPN setup is done in the "Settings" section of your iOS or Android device and should be configured according to the instructions given at your institution.  Alternatively, BrowZine also works great with third-party VPN Apps such as Junos Pulse, CISCO AnyConnect and others.

Web:
Yes!  BrowZine on the web works in a similar manner to other VPN authenticated resources used by the Library.  Simply turn on the VPN before going to browzine.com or linking to the site from the library web site.  If you do not turn on VPN ahead of time, BrowZine will prompt you to do so based on the IP address of your browser.
